Clinker manufacture operational: 1906-1908
Approximate total clinker production: 8,000 tonnes
Raw materials: could be Aberthaw stone?
Ownership: Atlas Portland Cement Co. Ltd
The plant was set up to make paving slabs - opened 6/1906 and wound up 11/1913. The only evidence that it made Portland cement is in its name, and that Davis listed it, with a capacity of 160 T/week. It is not to be found in directories. It is likely that it spent a couple of years trying to make its own cement, before out-sourcing it.
